Series Description

Our 5th Annual Sexual Assault Advocate Training Institute (SAATI) provides 26* of the 30 training hours necessary to meet statutory requirements for advocate privilege. SAATI will be offered virtually - live Zoom sessions and online coursework.

 

The Sexual Assault Advocate Training Institute (SAATI) is designed for staff at community and campus based sexual and domestic violence advocacy programs. It is also appropriate for staff at law enforcement and district attorney's victim assistance programs. 

 

SAATI will increase participants' knowledge and skills to support survivors of sexual violence as well as provide participants with information and tools to bring back to their agency to train other staff and volunteers. SAATI covers core topics, including: sexual assault dynamics and effects, culturally responsive crisis intervention and advocacy, medical options, criminal and civil/legal options, and more! 

 

*We recommend the remaining 4 hours include agency and community specific information, such as agency policies and procedures, community resources, coordinated community response, etc.

 

Registration for each day is required.

 

COST:

CCASA Members: Free

Non-Members: $200

 

Everyone will be added to the waitlist upon registration. We will move you to the confirmed list as we verify membership. 

• Priority will be given to CCASA members. If a member agency has more than one staff person interested, Sierra will be in contact.
• Status will be communicated with each registrant.
• Non-members will not be invoiced until you are moved to the confirmed list.

Additional details: 

• The content and objectives for this training are the same as our Online SAATI training. The difference is this training will be LIVE through virtual Zoom sessions and online coursework. 
• We can only guarantee accommodations for registrations submitted before August 23rd, 2023. Any request made after August 23rd, 2023 cannot be guaranteed but every effort will be made to accommodate those requests.
• Registration must occur for each event in the series in order to receive Zoom information.
• Schedule will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9am-3pm -- end time will vary from day to day. Detailed schedule will be shared after you are moved to the confirmed list.
