Celebrating and Reflecting on the Black Experience in Advocacy

January 25, 2023
03: 00 PM - 04: 30 PM

Mountain Standard Time

Description

The month of January celebrates Martin Luther King, Jr. & World Day for African and Afrodescendant Culture Day, two days that lead us to the celebration of Black History Month in February. Thus, CCASA thought it appropriate and exciting to kick off our webinar calendar year with an amazing panel discussion of how Black advocates have experienced working in advocacy. This conversation will focus on African American/Black legacy in advocacy and activism in equity and justice, both within and outside of sexual violence work.

Panelists:

Lisa Jenkins, Chief Executive Officer, Kingdom Builders Family Life Center

Dani Newsum, Director of Strategic Partnerships, Cobalt Reproductive Advocates
